The committee for education (GrundUtbildningsnämnden in Swedish, thus the GU-committee) consists of the Director of studies (president), study counselour (secretary), four regular members and four substitutes from the teachers/researchers, as well as two phD and two student representatives. The librarian, the study administrator, the communicator and all head lecturers are also always invited, even if they have no votes. 

The GU-committee provides guidelines for education and examination, and prepares suggestions regarding education for desicion in the KILU board.
