Master's degree programmes

Programme 120 credits - 2 years - Master's degree

If you have or are about to get a bachelor's degree i chemistry you have the oppotunity to study a master's programme in chemistry covering 120 ETCS credits, corresponding to two years full time study, at Lund University.

You can choose between a large number of advanced courses that are all closely tied to the latest research in that field and are an excellent base for further post graduate studies or work within industry. The 60, 45 or 30 ETCS credit degree project, carried out in a research group at the department or at a company, provide valuable experience for a future career.

Different specialisations

You can choose between three different specialisations in chemistry: 

Each specialisation allows you to focus on an area of chemistry you are interested in with courses that cover details and mechanisms within each field in-depth. 

Application and programme information

The webpage for each specialisation has specific information about entry requirements and applcation, as well as useful information such as recommended programme structure and degree requirements. 

You can apply for a master's programme in chemistry before you have completed you bachelor's degree and then be conditionally accepted, which means that you must have completed your bachelor's degree before the start of the master's programme. Remember you must be able to prove that you have applied for or recieved your bachelor's degree no later than the day before roll call for your master's programme to be allowed to attend.
