Our Campus

Education in chemistry is carried out at Kemicentrum, the largest centre for chemistry education and research in the Nordic countries. Here advanced research labs rub shoulders with modern facilities for education, such as different types of well-equipped course labs, computer rooms, group study rooms and quiet study rooms. We also have our own library that can help you with anything from ordering course literature to publishing your degree project.

Kemicentrum has five different entrances. You can reach the main entrance, entrance E in building 1, from Getingevägen, where you are coming from if you drive a car. If you take a tram from Lund's central station, it stops at Sölvegatan and regional buses and city buses stop at Getingevägen. If you need help when you arrive, you can turn to the Information desk in the library at Kemicentrum.

Lecture halls and seminar rooms

All lecture halls and seminar rooms at Kemicentrum can be booked for teaching. Seminar rooms can be used for group work at other times. Please note that food and drink are not permitted in lecture halls and seminar rooms.

All group rooms/group workplaces have electrical outlets and wireless network (eduroam).

  • House 1, floor 2, there are study spaces for group work. Take the stairs/elevator up from the corridor between entrances A and E. At two of the group workstations there are monitors that you can connect your computer to. Other group workplaces have whiteboards.

  • Between the Information desk/library and Café Ester there are 8 group rooms. These are also for about 4-5 people per room. Group rooms are not bookable.
