Synthetic and Analytical Chemistry - Master Programme

Programme 120 credits - 2 years - Master's degree

Are you passionate about producing new molecules and materials, examining the world of chemical compounds or solving environmental problems at the molecular level? If so, this Master’s programme could be right for you. After graduation, you can embark on a career in either academia or at a research-intensive company.

The master's programme in chemistry, synthetic and analytical chemistry (SAKE) covers 120 ETCS credits and gives you the opportunity to acquire advanced theoretical and practical knowledge and experience within analytical, organic and organometallic chemisty as well as coordination chemistry. You will also be able to use and understand scientific publications and be able to independently plan, perform and critically evaluate experiments.

The first year you study advanced courses in analytical chemistry, organic chemistry and coordination chemistry. During your second year you choose to do either one or two degree projects within synthetic and analytical chemistry that can be carried out at the university or at a company with the relevant research profile.

 Programme structure: Synthetic and Analytical Chemistry

  • Master's degree project 60 credits or
  • Master's degree project 45 credits and optional course/courses comprising 15 credits or
  • Master's degree project 30 credits and optional course/courses comprising 30 credits
